Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: 5 September 2025

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to all use of Ektasi Technology’s websites, services, and Ektasi Labs modules (bulk email/SMS/WhatsApp, social automation, ERP, integrations). By using the Services, you agree to this AUP.

1) Consent & list quality (messaging)

• Only contact people who have provided valid consent or another lawful basis applicable in their region. Keep proof of consent.
• No purchased, scraped, or co-registration lists.
• Honor “unsubscribe/STOP” signals immediately and sync suppression lists across your tools.

2) Prohibited content

• Illegal content; exploitation or harm; hate or incitement; malware/phishing.
• Fraudulent schemes; deceptive, misleading, or manipulative practices.
• Unauthorized pharmaceuticals, weapons, or other regulated goods/services.
• Adult sexual content intended for commercial distribution.
• Personal data that is highly sensitive (e.g., payment card data in clear text, government IDs, precise health data) unless expressly agreed in writing with appropriate safeguards.

3) Prohibited conduct

• Sending spam or bulk messaging without consent; snowshoeing; rotating identities to evade controls.
• Impersonation, spoofing headers, or deceptive subject lines/links.
• Interfering with or degrading the Services; attempting to bypass security or rate limits.
• Data scraping where prohibited; reverse engineering; distributing malware.

4) Sending & posting practices

• Identify your organization clearly and include a physical address and a working unsubscribe link in emails. SMS/WhatsApp must include brand identification and opt-out instructions.
• Respect applicable “quiet hours” for SMS/WhatsApp where mandated by law or carrier policy.
• Keep complaint rates, bounces, and spam traps low; maintain list hygiene.
• Social automation must follow the platforms’ terms and APIs; do not fabricate engagement or misrepresent content origin.

5) Rate limits & fair use

We may set reasonable limits on throughput (messages per minute/day, API requests, concurrency) to protect reliability. Default and custom limits are defined in your SOW or account settings.

6) Data protection

Handle personal data responsibly and in line with our Privacy Policy and DPA. Use encryption and secure storage where appropriate. Do not store or transmit payment card data via messaging.

7) Monitoring & enforcement

We may monitor for abuse indicators (e.g., complaint spikes, blocklists, anomalous traffic). Violations may result in warnings, throttling, feature restrictions, suspension, or termination, depending on severity. You may appeal by contacting info@ektasi.io.

8) Reporting abuse

Report suspected abuse or security issues to info@ektasi.io. We will investigate promptly.
